The Windy City
Marshall Fields, State Street Chicago
Museum Campus
The downtown Museum Campus is home to three of Chicago's most beloved museums: The Field Museum of Natural History, The Shedd Aquarium and the Adler Planetarium. All three museums are within minutes of eachother. Also, while you're down in the area you can visit Historic Soldier's Field and the New McCormick Place Convention Center. Other internationally renowned institutions include the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Museum of Science and Industry and the Art Institute of Chicago.

Navy Pier
Now the showcase of a unique collection of restaurants, shops and plenty of entertainment. At Navy Pier you'll find the Chicago Children's Museum, an IMAX theater, Crystal Gardens (an indoor botanical park), the Chicago Shakespeare Theater and Smith Museum of Stained Glass Windows. www.navypier.com.

Music
The rich contrasts of the city are wonderfully reflected in music. At Symphony Center, you'll find the world-famous Chicago Symphony Orchestra, led by musical director Daniel Barenboim. A short stroll will take you to Buddy Guy's Legends nightclub, named for its legendary blues guitarist owner. The blues, jazz, reggae, modern rock and more are alive in Chicago, with dozens of clubs all over town.

Theater
Chicago is home to a vital, vast and varied community of theatrical companies, as well as several large independent theaters, where you'll find everything from traveling Broadway megabits to experimental theater, to Chicago's famous improvisational groups that display the wit and humor of the Second City.

Shopping
Choose between the many shopping districts of Chicago to find exactly what you are looking for

- The 900 North Shops features Bloomingdale's Fashion department store, with six levels of upscale retailers, including several restaurants, full service salon and spa and a state-of-the-art fitness facility.

- Water Tower Place at 835 North Michigan Avenue features Marshall Field's, Lord & Taylor and more than 100 popular stores. A unique themed food court and restaurant are also on the mezzanine level. Chicago Place at 700 North Michigan Avenue features Saks Fifth Avenue, over 50 unique stores, a beautiful floral shop and a food court on the scenic eighth floor.

- Westfield North Bridge is an elegant specialty center anchored by the Midwest flagship Nordstrom. Popular retail stores and innovative restaurants are enclosed in a four-level concourse at 520 North Michigan Avenue.

- Oak Street Nearby, the glamorous boutiques and brand names of Oak Street take you to a different world. Lake Michigan and the city skyline are a glorious backdrop to the upscale shops to make your excursion in Chicago like no other.

- State Street: The landmark State Street Retail Historic District and the surrounding area in Chicago's Loop are considered by many to be the heart of Chicago's culture and commerce. Just south of the Chicago River, discover superb shopping, featuring not only gigantic flagship department stores like Marshall Field's, Carson Pirie Scott, and Sears, but also Chicago's Jeweler's Row, where savvy shoppers can find diamonds, fine gems and more in the largest jewelry district in the Midwest. Recent additions to State Street include H & M, Nordstrom Rack, and Forever 21. Throughout the year, State Street is the location of many of Chicago's parades, including the Memorial Day, Halloween, and Thanksgiving Day Parades.
